Free Supplies for Teachers
The Education Fund Ocean Bank Center for Educational Materials
Main Center – Medley
Miami-Dade County Public School educators receive a grocery cart filled with classroom materials – for free – twice a year (more often if you volunteer). Supplies range from crayons, pencils, paper, books, craft and art supplies, classroom furniture and decoration, and more. Donations come from companies with excess inventory. Book your visit now.
New Teacher Center – Paul Bell Middle School
Teachers who missed the New Teacher Orientation or are rejoining the teacher workforce in the later part of the school year can visit the New Teacher Center at Paul Bell Middle School and receive a shopping bag full of goodies. Book your visit with delriov@dadeschools.net
South Dade Center – Hammocks Middle School
Participate in professional development (PD) and shop! Teachers in South and Southwest Miami-Dade, schedule your PD and shop at a new center in Hammocks Middle School. Teachers who visit this PD center can still visit the Main Center in Medley. Book your visit now.

FPL $50,000 STEM GRANT
Creating innovative STEM labs: Providing classroom makeover grants to help schools transform classrooms with technology. As part of our Power to Educate, FPL offers a $50,000 STEM classroom makeover grant to help create a dynamic learning environment equipped with virtual reality, 3D printers, robotics kits and interactive displays. Applications due November 7, 2025.
Innovator Grants
Innovator Grants from The Education Fund provide funds to teachers to develop and implement new, instructional projects that motivate and challenge students to learn. Grants range from $300 – $1,000. Application and reporting process are streamlined, and guidance is provided. Grant applications for 2026-27 open in January 2026. Learn more.
Adapter Grants
Adapter Grants provide funds to teachers who attend The Education Fund’s Idea Expo in October to replicate projects and strategies from Expo workshops in their classrooms. Teachers can choose from any one of the projects from the Ideas with Impact app and creatively modify it to their own classroom. Adapter Grants range from $150 to $400. Grants for Art Teachers
Participate in The Education Fund Art of Found Objects exhibition and For the Love of Art auction for a chance to earn prize money and sell your artwork to the public. All proceeds made from selling artwork are returned to art teachers in the form of a grant! The deadline to submit artwork is March 7th. Learn more.

Extra Yard for Teachers Summit
The 2025 Extra Yard for Teachers Summit is a free event open to all educators in Miami-Dade County Public Schools and will feature inspiring speeches from high-profile speakers, giveaways, and a peer-to-peer networking reception. Learn More.
Kids Run Miami
Kids Run Miami is a free program open to all Miami-Dade County schools. When teachers and coaches sign up, students work toward completing a full marathon – 26.2 miles over time – culminating in a 1-mile celebration run on January 25, 2026, during the iconic Life Time Miami Marathon & Half presented by FP Movement.
